Step 2 - Installing Cores.

Cores are the actual emulator files for the system you want to emulate and Retroarch is the program that runs them.

For instance if you want to play Gamboy Advance games you'll need to install "mgba.hmod" to your Nes or Snes Classic.

  • Plug in NES or SNES Console (don't power it on yet)

  • In the same folder you just installed Retroarch from you'll see a "cores" folder, open it.

  • Open hakchi.exe and simply drag the core for the system you want into the hakchi window.

  • Make sure the core is ticked and press ok.

Hakchi will ask you to yet again hold the "RESET" button and power on your console keeping the "RESET" button held until you see the bar start to move.

NOTE: If you get any kind of error here, be sure to try and do it again first, if that doesn't work, change USB slots on your PC.
